Registration Process

By My Side Co-op Kindergarten & Preschool maintains a rolling waiting list for those families interested in enrolling their child in the school. New families can be added to the waiting list at any time by e-mailing the registration form, or by calling the school. Priority on the waiting list will be given according to first contact date for new families. Alumni also must contact the Registrar to place their names on the alumni waiting list.
Each January the registration process for the following school year begins with Parent Information Night. Any new family interested in enrolling their child at the school must confirm their place on the waiting list by Parent Information Night. Spaces in each of the classes will be offered first to current school families, second to school alumni, then to the families on the general waiting list. In-house registration begins on the day after Parent Information Night. Alumni registration begins approximately 1½ weeks after Parent Information Night. General registration begins approximately 2½ weeks after Parent Information night (beginning of February) and continues until all spaces have been filled. The school strives to fill all open spaces by May, though it is not unusual for some spaces to become available in the summer.
All new parents (mother and/or father) who are offered a space in the school will be required to observe the class in which their child is to be enrolled prior to registration. Parents will be required to submit all registration forms and pay the registration fee and September tuition within two days after completing their observation, or forfeit their space in the school.
